Original Prints for Discriminating Collectors
Image Size:  4 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 300.  Image came from a vacation trip to Rockport with my wife several years ago.  I took a docked shrimp boat and imagined it at work in the Gulf.

Price:  $55 print alone, $62 matted, $77 framed
Texas Coast:  Shrimp Boat
Enchanted Rock:  Cactus
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 300.  Image came from a visit to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area in August, 2011. This lone cactus caught my eye, among all the other multi-pad plants.

Price:  $55 print alone, $62 matted, $77 framed
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 300.  Image came from a weekend getaway with my wife.  This channel marker was visible from the balcony of our hotel room.

Rockport:  Channel Marker
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 300.  As with the channel marker, this image came from a weekend getaway with my wife.  The palm tree, too, was visible from the balcony of our hotel room.

Scenic Texas
Hill Country:  Bluebonnet
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200.  What hill country portfolio is complete without a bluebonnet?  When the bluebonnets were in bloom last March, I drew this "extra large" look at one of these tiny flowers and made it into another multi-color print.

Price:  $61 print alone, $78 matted, $93 framed
West Texas:  Diane's Papalote
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200.  My wife loves windmills, and requested that I do a woodcut of one of the vanishing "papalotes."  The model for this windmill stands in Friedrich Wilderness Park in San Antonio.  I assume it was part of a farm or ranch that once occupied that land.

Price:  $64 print alone, $71 matted, $86 framed
Hill Country:  Enchanted Rock from Moss Lake
Image Size:  6 x 9 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. Image came from a camping trip to Enchanted Rock State Park in May, 2012.  The huge rock is the visible, above-ground part of a huge and ancient batholith that underlies this part of Texas.

Price:  $84 print alone, $93 matted, $115 framed
Riverwalk Christmas: Barge
Riverwalk Christmas
Image Size:  4 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200.  During Christmas, the lights above the river are supplemented by lights ON the river.  Lighted river barges ply the waters with loads tourists enjoying the enchanting view.

Price:  $72 print alone, $79 matted, $94 framed
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200.  Christmas on San Antonio's famous Riverwalk is a sparkling affair.  The day after Thanksgiving, the lights are illuminated, turning the downtown river area into a wonderland of lights.

Price:  $72 print alone, $79 matted, $94 framed
Image Size:  8.5 x 11.5 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. Image came from a vacation trip with my wife to Indian Lodge in Davis Mountains State Park in February, 2012.  The cairn is on a trail that follows a ridge line above the lodge.  A cairn usually is a trail marker or a spiritual structure common to Bhuddhism.  This one seems too big to be a trail marker.

Price:  $122 print alone, $137 matted, $177 framed
Davis Mountains State Park:  Cairn
Turkey Peak from Enchanted Rock
Image Size:  12 x 16 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. Image came from a camping trip to Enchanted Rock in May, 2012.  Enchanted Rock is unique, a granite dome sticking out of the Texas Hill Country, and littered with boulders created as the huge batholith breaks apart through the action of wind and water.  The Indians regarded the site as sacred.  It's not hard to imagine why.

Price:  $120 print alone, $132 matted, $168 framed
Davis Mountains State Park:  Century Plant
Image Size:  9 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200. This image also came from that vacation trip with my wife to Indian Lodge in Davis Mountains State Park early in 2012.  Century plants such as this one dot the area.  They are the West Texas equivalent of the lodgepole pine, standing straight and tall against the Texas sky.

Price:  $80 print alone, $89 matted, $112 framed
Image Size:  9 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200. Image came from another vacation trip to Rockport, Texas.  Walking around the docks, the rope "bumpers" on the docks captured my attention.  Recreating these ropes in a woodcut was a challenge.

Price:  $80 print alone, $89 matted, $112 framed
South Texas: Oil Pump Sunset
School Bell
Texas Maple
Ghost Longhorn
Sentinel Oak
Cactus Blossoms
Hill Country Oak
Rockport Oaks
Image Size:  4 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 150. Image came from a drive through the booming oil field south of San Antonio. I'm a staunch environmentalist, so I wouldn't mind seeing the oil pumps disappear.  Nevertheless, they make a romantic image when silhouetted against a sunset.

Price:  $66 print alone, $7 3matted, $88 framed
Image Size:  3 x 2 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100.  On a trip to a show in Midland, I stopped at Fort McKavett State Historic Site, which comprises the well-preserved remains of an old cavalry post.  Among the collection of buildings is a school, with this bell outside.  I'd like to go back 150 years and see the school kids answering the bell's summons to class.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Image Size:  2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100.  One of my favorite Texas parks is Lost Maples State Natural Area, northwest of San Antonio in the Hill Country. An isolated stand of Uvalde big tooth maple trees are located in a canyon along the Sabinal River.  It's a little touch of New England in the heart of Texas.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200. Every year, when the San Antonio rodeo comes to town, there's a longhorn cattle drive through downtown San Antonio.  I took the image of one of those longhorns and, with my imagination, set it into a Texas moonscape.  I thought it looked a bit ghostly, hence the name.

Price:  $55 print alone, $62 matted, $77 framed
Image Size:  2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100.  This is another image taken from a hike through Lost Maples State Natural Area.  This hardscrabble oak tree stands, tough and alone, on a ridge line overlooking a broad swath of hill country.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Image Size:  3 x 2 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. My friend, Tom Uribe, has a son who has a game-hunting ranch near Big Foot, Texas.  Tom takes me out there every once in a while to fish the tanks and help him change flat tires.  (Yup, punctured by a deer horn that was laying on the ground.) On one of these trips, the cactus on the property were in full and beautiful bloom.  Hmmm...maybe this should have been a color print!

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Image Size:  2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. This nicely shaped live oak tree stands just outside the Lost Maples State Natural Area.  There are lots of oak trees in the Hill Country, but this one impressed me with its symmetrical shape.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Image Size:  2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. Rockport has these fascinating oak trees that have been sculpted by the constant sea breeze off the Gulf.  Rather than growing toward the sky, they are twisted and slanted inland.  The closer they are to the water, the greater the sculpting effect.  Beautiful.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Rockport:  Pier Piling
Image Size:  9 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. Enchanted Rock is an enchanting place in the Hill Country, and especially so when the sun is low.  This is my impression of evening light on this granite dome of rock.

Price:  $102 print alone, $111 matted, $134 framed
Enchanted Rock: Sunset
Image Size:  12 x 18 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. The image for this large print came from a vacation trip to Rockport.  From the window of our hotel room, we could hear the oyster boats leave Fulton Harbor in the morning darkness and see them return at sunset.  It's a rhythm that hasn't changed since we've been going there.

Price:  $314 print alone, $336 matted, $386 framed
Fulton:  Oyster Boats Returning
Lighthouse (Engraving)
Image Size:  3 x 2 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. If you've been to Palo Duro Canyon in the Panhandle, you know that the Lighthouse is the name of the state park's most famous formation.  Hyperbolically called the Grand Canyon of Texas, Palo Duro is, nevertheless, quite spectacular.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Pelican (Engraving)
Image Size:  2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. Is there any image more emblematic of the Texas coast than a pelican resting on a pier piling?  Not likely.  I saw this specimen on a trip to Rockport, where Diane and I stayed in our favorite seaside getaway, The Lighthouse Inn.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Rockport Oaks 2 (Engraving)
Image Size:  2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 100. Here's another take on those windswept trees at Rockport.  They occupy prime shorefront property, but I hope developers won't ever take them down.   It would be a real loss to the character of the city.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Rockport: Oyster Dock
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 300. Working docks are not beautiful but they are functional: beat up pilings, worn out tires for bumpers, scattered oyster shells, and in the background, stacked pallets for the bags of oysters.

Price:  $55 print alone, $62 matted, $77 framed
Image Size:  3 x 2 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. As you know if you've been to the Texas coast, you can never have too many pelicans.  So, here's another one -- this time perched on a channel marker, no doubt scanning for fish.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Pelican 2 (Engraving)
Palo Duro Canyon:
The Lighthouse
Image Size:  9 x 6 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. Each year, I meet friends from the east coast for a camping trip somewhere in the U.S.  This particular year, our destination was Palo Duro Canyon, where we hiked to the signature formation in the canyon, The Lighthouse.

Price:  $90  print alone, $99 matted, $122 framed
Ralph's Cenotaph
Image Size:  15 x 24 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. My friend, fellow artist, and fishing buddy, Ralph Howell, died suddenly of a heart attack in 2019.  On one of our last fishing trips, we both noticed this beautiful century plant blooming near the Guadalupe River.

Price:  $260 print alone, $272 matted, $322 framed
Ralph's Cenotaph
Western Train (Diptych)
Image Size:  5 x 38 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. My wife, Diane, grew up in California and her family made frequent trips to Texas.  She loved seeing trains crossing those vast open spaces.  This print is for her.

Price:  $425 print alone, matted $445, $495 framed (matted only not available)
