Alamo: Columns, Niche, Door

San Jose: Rose Window
(Engraving)
Image Size:  6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 200. The Rose Window at San Antonio's Mission San Jose has been a source of fascination for tourists from all over the world.  No one knows who sculpted the Rose Window, or what it's function was, specifically. But, the beautifully carved stonework provokes admiration in all who see it.

Image Size: 2 x 3 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50.  The Alamo is the iconic Shrine of Texas Liberty, the site of an 1836 battle to free Texas from Mexico. The old mission is only a few miles from where I live.  I could have heard Travis's cannon firing from my house.

San Jose 2 (Engraving)
San Jose (Engraving)
Image Size: 3 x 2 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. San Jose was regarded as the "Queen of Missions," meaning it was largest and most elaborate of the four San Antonio missions.  This small engraving shows the dome and, I believe, part of the ruins of the monastery.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
San Juan (Engraving)
Image Size: 3 x 2 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. Mission San Juan is the third of the four missions, moving out from the city's heart.  It recently was given a restored facade and alter and occupies a serene spot along the San Antonio River.

Price:  $32 print alone, $37 matted, $48 framed
Davy Crockett (Engraving)
Image Size: 6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. Davy Crockett came to Texas looking for land and a fresh start.  Unfortunately, he wound up at the Alamo not too long before Santa Anna and his army arrived.  He ended up dying there and, in so doing, gained a measure of accidental immortality.

Price:  $55 print alone, $62 matted, $77 framed
Image Size: 6 x 4 inches

Print History:  Edition of 50. William Barret Travis was one of the Big Three at the Alamo, the other two being Bowie and Crockett.  Travis was also the youngest of the three by far, being only 26.  Commander at the Alamo, he is famous for the (probably mythical) drawing of a line in the sand to see which of his men would stay with him to the death.
